Angels of Light "We Are Him" Vinyl Bonus Tracks

A little note for anyone curious about the bonus tracks for the double LP version of the new Angels of Light album, “We Are Him”– they were already released on the two solo CD’s Gira sells via the Young God website.

The tracks on side four are:

• What You Were (5:34) from Solo Recordings at Home
• Mary Found John (1:12) from Solo Recordings at Home
• Jackie’s Spine (4:32) from I am Singing to You From My Room
• All Souls Live Fragment (8:12) from I am Singing to You From My Room

Note that none of these have appeared on vinyl before. Some of the other tracks from I am Singing to You From My Room did appear on the vinyl only Songs for a Dog.

Promises Of Water

While trying to determine if the new Angels of Light record was going to come out on vinyl, I stumbled upon a great live set on WNYC from late 2005. It starts with Gira performing solo, including some (at the time) new songs that ended up on the record, We Are Him. He is later joined by the rest of the Angels of Light (whom I believe at that the time is made up of the Akron/Family).
